Samantha Leahy, M.Ed., BCBA

Clinical Manager

Samantha Leahy is a licensed early childhood special education teacher and Behavior Analyst. Samantha received her Masters in Education and ABA training and coursework from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. There, she completed her master’s thesis on social interactions between young children during adult-directed and child-directed art activities. She received her Bachelor of Arts with a major in art history and a minor in biology from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, and worked in museums before deciding to become a full-time special educator. Samantha began her teaching career as a counselor at an overnight camp for people of all ages with a wide range of developmental disabilities. She later worked as a lead classroom teacher before returning to school to pursue her graduate degree. Samantha’s specialties are in early childhood education, teacher training, and implementing ABA interventions in a school setting. She is passionate about teaching functional communication, literacy skills, and (yes!) potty training. In her spare time, Samantha is a rock climber, cartoonist, and raises plants in her indoor garden.

Minerva Carbajal, M.S.

Program Manager

Minerva received my Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis from National University in 2018 and received her  undergraduate degree from University of California, Santa Barbara in 2016. She initially became interested in the field because of a child development course she took at UCSB. Minerva is passionate about working in people’s homes and making them feel comfortable and confident about their child’s abilities. Minerva said "I find it very rewarding when a parent can have a sense of relief knowing their child will grow up to reach their full potential with a little bit of our help and a lot of their trust in us."

Minerva's strengths are her patience and persistence. On her spare time, Minerva likes to travel. She lived in Italy for 2 months while in college and traveled all over Italy while learning the language. Minerva also enjoys reading books (any kinds) but mostly crime investigation ones (alongside with documentaries!!)
